UK PS5 owner here, I’ve had hard crashes like this for a few days but I managed to find a “kinda” fix. I’ve managed to get around the hard crashes by removing all my usb connections on the back of the ps5 and then rebuilding the storage database. -To rebuild the database you will need to turn off your ps5 and wait for it to power off It varies but every time it crashes it sends me back 10-30 minutes of progress and is insanely frustrating. I've tried every solution I could think of like deleting and reinstalling, restarting my PS5, going into safe mode to try and rebuild corrupted data, and resetting my PS5 to factory setting and reinstalling all my games. If you start up a second PS5 game or fully power off the console, the first game you were playing will automatically close, and won’t automatically resume from your previous moment of gameplay. However, thanks to PS5’s ultra-high speed SSD, you will be able to load back into your installed PS5 game quickly and get right back to playing. It's a notoriously buggy game for all platforms.
