Hiya. did u change just the filter or sensor as well, take the water in filter sensor connector apart and ensure it’s clean, use a multimeter set to ohms both sides of the connector to ensure the pins inside are good both sides of the connector. hope that helps a little and please let us know how u get on as can find wiring diagrams etc for u.
Fuel tank & lines diagram 2.7 TDV6. Gday All, I have 2 copies of the D3 Rave CD and the fuel tank and lines section for the 2.7 ltr missing. they both have the 4.0 & 4.4 - strange. Can anyone supply a copy please ? post it here or you can email it if that suits better.
gyrogypsy. 228 posts · Joined 2011. #10 · Nov 20, 2012. The fuel pump requires two relays to be energized - one from the ECM (Relay 116) and one in the rear fuse box (Relay 103). Both relays are controlled by the ECM (Module D131) Relay R116 is controlled by a switched negative from ECM (pin 23 on connector 604).
The Captiva DPF failed after having done about 5,000 km and it was off the road for 10 days waiting on a replacement. Then at about 150,000 Km the seal on the turbo leaked oil into the exhaust and killed the DPF. Replacement cost was again quoted at approx. $6,000.
So Problem isolated to fuel rail pressure, however cause of this unknown. I have done the following checks - Battery is good and cranking speed is ~200rpm - Fuel filter replaced - LP fuel pump is supplying 7 psi up to the check valve. When the car starts fuel rail pressure is ~22,000kpa on idle(750rpm) and 59,000kpa at 2700rpm.
Intermittent fuel injector errors - TDV6 3.0. Last week, my 2014 Disco TDV6 3.0 suddenly started to run rough over the last km or so on my way home. It felt like the engine was misfiring (it's been smooth as silk for the past 206,000km). I made it home without incident, and the next time I drove it, it was back to its usual smooth self.
The sensor is. screwed into a threaded port in the end of the fuel rail. The fuel pressure sensor is a piezo-resistive type sensor containing an actuating diaphragm. The hole is best covered with a clean cloth, then the cover can be pulled off upwards (it is only plugged in). Then screw the oil cover back on. Under the engine cover there is a small valve on the fuel line which looks like a tire valve. Motor without cover. Fuel system bleeder valve. Now switch the engine to ignition and wait about 30 seconds.
